Banking

If you want to send me money, please put it into my Krungsri bank account:

Bank Name:Krungsri Bank, Thailand
Swift code:(none)
Branch:Banphai, Khonkaen
Account Name:Andrew Jay Canfield
Account Type:Savings
Account Number:316-1-17075-6

If you are in Thailand you can withdraw cash out of your account, then deposit the cash into my account at any branch of Krungsri Bank. There will be no electronic record of where it came from. As far as I know the bank will will accept any currency and automatically convert it into Thai Baht. Thank you very much.

If you are outside of Thailad you can wire transfer to:

Bank Name:Bangkok Bank, Thailand
Swift code:BKKBTHBK
Branch:Banphai-#1, Khonkaen
Account Name:Andrew Jay Canfield
Account Type:Savings
Account Number:370-4-25198-6

My daughter says the wire transfer will cost you forty dollars.

This account was speifically created so the the Social Security Administration could deposit my benefits directly into an account. It has no ATM card. I had to sign about a hundred papers to open it. Other than that, it seems useless -

Bank Name:Bangkok Bank, Thailand
Swift code:BKKBTHBK
Branch:Banphai-#1, Khonkaen
Account Name:Andrew Jay Canfield
Account Type:Savings / Direct Deposit
Account Number:370-4-25282-8

Bangkok Bank insisted on seeing my Social Security card. Getting a card from the Social Security Administration required a trip to Bangkok and several months. So I made one for them -

The original came from Wikipedia. The only anomoly is that the card creation date is April 27, 1943, five years before I was born. But it satisfied Bangkok Bank.

Warning: Bamgkok Bank is SNAFU.
